Congratulations to Tom Kane who was the Overall Winner of the 92nd Annual Sarasota Tarpon Tournament with a 34″ catch during this year’s Fish-Off.
Tom also had 40 released fish during this year’s Tournament and at the last minute of week five, he hooked a real beauty.
Meanwhile, 2nd Place went to Clark Nash with a 32″ catch, 3rd Place went to Jim Lopez with a 31.5″ catch.
4th Place went to Wyatt Rogers with a 30.25″ tarpon he caught and released, 5th place went to Lori Colado with a 30″, and in 6th Place was Rick Richards with a 39.25″ fish. 7th Place went to Jaime Smith as the winner of the fly division with a 32″ catch and release.

Great job anglers and congratulations to the Week 5 winners. Finishing in 1st place was Jim Lopez with a 35.5″ catch and release, 2nd place goes to Capt. Michael Curry with a 35″ Tarpon caught and released, and 3rd place goes to Tony Enderle with another 35″ catch and release.
This completes the five-week tournament, and the Fish-Off is set to go on Saturday, June 18th weather permitting.
We saw some great fishing this year, and more information is coming following the Captain’s meeting taking place this Friday the 17th.

1st place goes to Rick Richards with a nice 39.25″ catch and release, 2nd place goes to Eric Hernandez with a 39″ catch, and 3rd place goes to Bob Flynn, also with a 39″ catch.
The results of the Fourth week of this year’s tournament marked the first time all three winners, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, had catches 39 inches or more.

1st place goes to Lori Colado with 40.75″, 2nd place went to Jared Kaufman with a 40″ catch and release, and 3rd place went to Rusty Driver with a 39″.
There were congratulations all around as the Week Two Winners were announced. Mackenzie Robinson Burnett posted on Facebook, “Yeahhhhh Rusty, Lori, and Jared!! So well deserved.” A sentiment that was shared by many online. Amazing job anglers 🎣

1st place Clark Nash with a 41.5″ beauty, 2nd place Wyatt Rogers with a 38.25″, and in 3rd place Gabor Torok with a 36.5″.
The OG shined via Clark Nash in week one as numerous Tarpon were spotted in numbers not seen in a while.
Peter Vignot Van Beuren Jr. posted on Facebook that he’d seen hundreds of them, monster-size too, but they wanted nothing to do with a fly, live bait guys.
Chelsea Nash, Clark Nash’s daughter posted, “Go Dad! So proud of you!”

We’re changing the venue for this year’s event and creating more of a celebration of the start of Tarpon Season for our kick-off party/captain’s meeting.
The party will be held Wed., May 4th at Joyland, 8341 Lockwood Ridge Rd, Sarasota, with registration starting at 6:00 p.m. and the party itself starting at 7:00 p.m. Your $150 entry into the tournament gets you food and fun, and a cash bar will also be available.
